Ruth Meyer

Bio

Graduated in Computer Science and Biology at Hamburg University, where she focussed on simulation and environmental informatics, then followed this with a PhD in simulation also at Hamburg.

Since 2005 she has worked at the Centre for Policy Modelling (CPM) on the highly interdisciplinary CAVES, OCOPOMO and SCID projects, using disparate data/evidence sources to construct models suitable for the evaluation of policy options and consequences. Altogether, she has 15 years of experience in complex social simulation modelling. She co-edited the handbook on “Simulating Social Complexity” with Bruce Edmonds for Springer in 2013.
